How deep should I set my fence posts in the ground?

As a general rule, at least one-third of the post’s length should be buried in the ground to ensure stability. For example, a 2.4-meter post should be set between 600 - 700mm deep.

Yes, our posts are versatile and can be used with a wide range of fencing panels, including featheredge, picket fencing, and trellis, providing strong support for your fence.

Do I need to treat the posts before installation?

Our posts come pre-treated, so no additional treatment is necessary before installation. However, it’s recommended to seal any cuts or notches made during installation with an appropriate wood preservative.

To maximise the lifespan of your posts, ensure they are properly installed with adequate drainage at the base to prevent waterlogging. Applying a quality preservative to exposed ends can also help protect against moisture ingress.
